- I recently purchased a MFC3 and immediately connected my printer to it
- (although I got it for the improved serial ports ;) ). I have an HPLJ4 plus
- the Postscript SIMM and 10MB of RAM hooked to my A4000/040 and 32MBFast + 2MB
- Chip. I print my largest things from Pagestream which are catalog pages and
- they are often 20- 30MB in size and I have not noticed an increase in speed
- that I would think of as significant. Though I am using Postscript and that
- could be the difference. I sometimes will create a Postscript file from
- Pagestream instead of printing and then later copy that file to the printer
- from a CLI and there is no speed difference there either that I could percieve
- (meaning I haven't got out the stop watch and timed it).
